Ho ho ho! Meeeerrrrrrryyyyy Christmas / Yule / Dec 25th / other!
First -- I adore you all. Seriously. I do. =)

Now.

Update:

Marley still doing well. (neighbors now know we have her; their official reason for not getting her out of shelter-- they are having money problems. & they told a mutual friend--who mentioned in relation to the money problems that they are indeed saying this but have bought two new cars recently-- that if she gets out she better not come back over there or they will shoot her)

Zoe not doing any worse.

Everyone else doing alright.

Financial situation still beyond frightening, verging on paralytically terrifying.

You should all go out and buy something by Gram Rabbit as an after-Christmas gift for someone (assuming your money troubles are more like my neighbors than mine, that is); they will thank you for it.

US election 2008 thoughts --

Did Kucinich actually say he might make Ron Paul his running mate if he got the democratic nomination? I hope not but the source seemed credible. If he did, no longer any chance of me supporting him even w/a vote to get his agenda paid attention to. It's like he's a little kid w/good ideas but very little grasp on reality.

Hilary definitely is responsible for this -- http://blog.wired.com/27bstroke6/2007/12/clinton-would-c.html
-- one of many things the wrongheadedness of which makes me wonder about her.

Problems w/all other candidates have been noted often, so I guess it's Dodd for now; he's not perfect, but I'm liking him better than anyone else at this point. This is probably because I know/remember less about him; I'm waiting for someone to tell me he's a huge fan of building that moronic fence along the border, or something.

Oh damn, he *is* for the stupid wall. And he voted for the Iraq war, which is why I quit looking at him the first time around (I guess I was thinking "we have 3 front runner who I already think lack political courage, why do I want to see that in a longshot?").

Yet, he nonetheless is still my front runner at the moment, which says something. I'm not sure what. Okay, demonstrating some political courage on an important issue and actually *accomplishing something* by stopping something bad counts.

=)
